You are not alone. Energy is a basic necessity of modern life. The heat and electricity that we use in our homes keeps us safe, healthy, and comfortable. Barron Electric Cooperative aims to provide all families with affordable energy and will work with our members in need. The information below is to help our members when they need it most. 

 

Distribution of Funds

Members may be eligible for assistance if they meet the WHEAP guidelines listed. Members should contact their local Human Services Department to determine eligibility. Members may also contact the office for a list of other charities and organizations that may help members with electric bills.

Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP)

WHEAP is a federal program designed to help households with their energy costs. Households may be eligible if their gross income for the last three months is less than the amount shown below.
